Suppose the number is n

25 is added and than makes it n + 25

The results is halved to give (n + 25)/2

and that is 3 times the original number - ir 3n.

So, the equaltion that needs to be solved is (n + 25)/2 = 3n

Multiply both side by 2: n + 25 = 6n

Subtract n from both sides: 25 = 5n

Divide both sides by 5: 5 = n

The answer is 5.

What happens to speed if kinetic energy halved?

Kinetic energy is determined by mass and velocity. The velocity is halved if you double the original mass, so the kinetic energy stays the same (unless the mass added has the same kinetic energy in the observer's reference frame as the original mass).

When a number is added to its additive inverse what is the sum equal to?

Number + additive inverse of number = 0, by definition (the additive inverse of a number is that number, which when added to the original number, results in a sum of 0) Number + additive inverse of number = 0, by definition (the additive inverse of a number is that number, which when added to the original number, results in a sum of 0)
