quantitative data is the characteristics obtained from an experiment usually the best way to collect quantitative data is to observe your subject.
There is only one way not to collect data. The only way that is not a good way to collect data is theory development.

Quantilative is where quantitative and qualitative data start to blur. You can ask a question in a quantitative fashion (survey question) but if you have a small sample size, then you need to interpret the data qualitatively (e.g., few, some, most) as opposed to quantitatively (e.g., 10%). it can go the other way as well. If you have a qualitative exercise (e.g., highlighter exercise) that you deploy to a large sample size, you can interpret that data quantitatively (e.g., % who selected a certain area of the image).

Qualitative and quantitative data are both 2 important types of data. Qualitative data is data based on observation and description. An easy way to remember this, Qualitative ---> QUALity. Examples of qualitative data are when you record colors, smells, textures, etc... Quantitative data is based on numerical values. An easy way to remember this, Quantitative ---> QUANTity. An example of quantitative data are any type of numerical values.
"Data" are the facts you collect from your experiment, while "results" are your interpretation of what the data mean.
much more quantitative than the qualitative method. those of us who understand basic science and math realize that qualitative measures are usually total BS.
yes because you smell
ther are only two different ways that scientist does not collect data
The way I remember it is that Quantitative data includes quantities... numbers. 3.4 m, or 57 degrees Celsius Qualitative data describes qualities... descriptions. hot, blue, longer.
