2m x 2m = 4 square meters = 4.784 square yards.

At $12 per square yard, that's $57.41 plus pad, installation, and tax.

But it's doubtful that they would cut off 0.784 of a square yard for you.

You'd probably have to buy 5 square yards, and then discard the leftover

0.216 square yard after you finish cutting everything to fit the room. Either

that, or use it for a bed-pad for your small dog.

What is the cost of laying carpet per square meter in south Australia?

In Ohio we charge 5.50 a yard, so technically that costs $6.58US a square meter. That price however does not include the actual carpet to be installed, or the 'cushion' or pad underneath the carpet, just the labor. retail price on some of the least expensive carpet i have seen (that was worth putting in) was around $8.40US a square meter. which with cushion would cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $17.00US a square yard if you include cushion.
