An inequality (or an inequity) is when an equation has either of the symbols < or > in place of the equals sign.
< indicates that the value to the left of it is less than the value to the right of it.
> indicates that the value to the left of it is greater than the value to the right of it.
Two other signs are also used: ≤ and ≥
≤ indicates that the value to the left of it is "less than or equal to" the value to the right of it.
≥ indicates that the value to the left of it is "greater than or equal to" the value to the right of it.
Inequities is the plural of inequity
Language can reinforce inequities by perpetuating stereotypes, discrimination, and bias. It can also be used to marginalize certain groups and uphold power dynamics. Conversely, language can also be a tool for challenging inequities by promoting inclusivity, advocating for social justice, and raising awareness of systemic issues.

Since "pre-" means before, then pre-algebra would be before algebra. Conversely, algebra would be after pre-algebra. Generally, the next class after a pre-algebra class would be Algebra I, followed by Algebra II.
