Suppose x = sqrt(3*a) where a is an integer that is not divisible by 3.

then x2 = 3*a which is divisible by 3.

but x is not even rational and so is not an integer and is certainly not divisible by 3.

Is 15345 divisible by 1?

When you divide a number by 1, it remains the same. A number is considered divisible is the resulting answer is an integer with no remainder left over. Thus, if the starting number is an integer, it will be divisible by 1. 15345 is an integer, and thus is divisible by 1.

What is the least positive integer that is divisible by 111?

What does divisible meabn?

For an integer x to be evenly divisible by another integer y, x/y must also be an integer. Here are some examples: 4/2=2. 15/3=5. 18/6=3. From these examples, you can see that 4 is divisible by 2, 15 is divisible by 3, and 18 is divisible by 6. When two numbers are not evenly divisible by each other, you end up with a remainder, or fractional/decimal answer. Here is an example: 25/2 =12.5
