I suppose your talking about a triangle.

The angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

So A + B + C = 180

If A is three times the size of B

and if A is C + 16 degrees

Then (3B) + B +(3B - 16) = 180

So, let's remove the brackets..... 3B + B + 3B - 16 = 180

Add the Bs and move the 16 to the other side of the equation...

7B = 180 + 16

7B = 196

B = 196 / 7

B = 28

So now we know B we can work out the other angles...

A = 3B = 3 x 28 = 84

C = A - 16 = 84 - 16 = 68

A = 84

B = 28

C = 68

Sum 180

What are angles that have the same measure?

Congruent angles have the same measure. congruent Kenpachi54 improve answer: Actually, angles don't have to be congruent just to have the same angle measurements A has a right angle is 90 degrees. even if there is a small right angle and a large right angle you know they are both 90 degrees because ALL right angles are 90 degrees, so there is really no name for it.

The second angle in a triangle is four times as large as the first The measure of the third angle is 80 degrees more than sum of the other two angles. Find the measure of the second angle?

Let the first angle be x the second angle be 4x and the third angle be 80+4x+x: x+4x+80+4x+x = 180 Collect like terms: 10x = 180-80 10x = 100 x = 10 Therefore the measure of the second angle is 40 degrees.

In triangle ABC the measure of angle B is 40 less than the measure of angle A the measure of angle C is 20 more than twice the measure of angle A what is the measure of angle C?

A = 60 B = 20 C = 140 This can have a large number of answers.

If one angle of a triangle is twice as large as another The measure of the third angle is 20 degrees greater than that of the smallest angle How large are the angles?

The first angle A is twice as large as the second, angle B. The third angle C is 20 degrees larger than B (as B must be the smallest angle). The internal angle sof a triangle add to 180 degrees.A + B + C = 180A = 2BC = B + 20(2B) + B + (B + 20) = 1804B + 20 = 1804B = 160B = 40o.A = 2BA = 2 X 40A = 80o.C = B + 20C = 40 + 20C = 60o.Alternate MethodThe internal angles of all triangles always add up to 180 degrees. Call our triangle angles A,B and C respectivelyA+B+C = 180°All the dimensions of the triangle are described in terms of angle A; the smallest angle.A= A, B = 2A, C = A + 20oSo in terms of A:A +2A + A+20o 180o4A +20o = 180o therefore 4A = 180o - 20o = 160o and therefore A = 160/4 = 40oIf A= 40o and B = 2A and C = A + 20oThenA = 40o, B = 80o, C = 60o

Is larger an adverb?

It can be, because the comparative for the adjective large (larger) is the same as for the adverb large (in a larger manner). E.g. Paint the company name larger on the door than on the window.

What is the measure if angle A is half as large as its complement angle B?

X=30 degrees

The second angle in a triangle is one third as large as the first the third angle is two thirds as large as the first angle find the angle measures?

Let's assume the measure of the first angle is x degrees. The second angle is one-third as large as the first, so its measure is (1/3) * x = x/3 degrees. The third angle is two-thirds as large as the first, so its measure is (2/3) * x = 2x/3 degrees. Therefore, the measures of the angles in the triangle are x degrees, x/3 degrees, and 2x/3 degrees.

If one angle is 10 more than 3 times as large as another angle which is complementary to it what is the measure of the smaller angle?

The smaller angle is 20 degrees and the larger is 70 degrees. Complementary angles total 90 degrees. Let's call the smaller angle A. The other angle is 3A + 10. The sum of both angles is 90, so 4A +10 = 90, 4A = 80, A = 20. The larger angle is 3(20) + 10 = 70.

Is a 25 angle is congruent to a 25' angle?

No. Assuming the first refers to the measure in degrees, it is 60 times as large.

What is the measure of the trapezoid large angle?

If An angle is twice as large as its complement How large is the angle?

60 degrees.

If an angle has twice the measure of its complement what is the measure of the angle?

Complimentary angles are two angles that add up to 90o. It the sum of two angles is 90o, and one is twice as big as the other, then we can make up a little equation to solve for that larger angle (a). It might look like this: 90o = a + ( a / 2 ) As our larger angle (a) was said to be twice as large as our smaller angle, our smaller angle (a/2) is half as large as the larger angle. 90o = 3a / 2 180o = 3a a = 180o / 3 = 60o Our mystery angle is a 60o angle. The smaller one is 30o. The larger angle is twice the smaller, and they two sum to 90o. Our work checks.

In the right triangle the ratio of the measures of the two acute angles is 4 1 what is the measure in degrees of the larger acute angle?

The 4 to 1 ratio of the two acute angles can be restated as the larger acute angle is four times as large as the smaller acute angle. Since the sum of all angles in a triangle equal 180 degrees, the sum of the two acute angles will be equal to 90 degrees. The remaining 90 degrees are found in the right angle present in all right triangles. If we divide the 90 degrees of the acute angles by 5 (to get the five parts of our ratio) and ascribe 4 of those parts to the largest acute angle we can find the size of that angle by multiplying (90 / 5) x 4 = (18) x 4 = 72. Therefore the largest acute angle is 72 degrees and the smaller acute angle is 18 degrees for a total of 90 degrees. Answer: 72 degrees

What is a angle whose measure is between 90 degrees and 180 degrees?

Obtuse Also:Any angle that is greater than 0o and less than 90o is an acute angle. * Think of something "cute" being tiny. Any angle that is 90o is a right angle. Any angle that is greater than 90o and less than 180o is an obtuse angle. * Think of obtuse as being something that is large in size. Any angle that is 180o is a straight line. And finaly, any angle that is larger than 180o is known as a reflexive angle.

How do you describe an acute angle?

It is an angle more than 0 degrees but less than 90 degrees. An acute angle is any angle of between 0 and 90 degrees. A right angle is an angle that measures exactly 90 degrees. An obtuse angle is an angle that measure between 90 and 180 degrees. To remember the difference between an acute angle and an obtuse angle, think of "a cute" (acute) puppy and an large obese (obtuse) bulldog. Kind of cheesy but the words do sound alike and might help you remember

An angle whose measure is greater than 90 degree?

is called an obtuse angle. remembering trick: obtuse= large (more than 90 degrees) acute= cute/small (less than 90 degrees)
