YOu might be talking about the 2 numbers on the side. let's say X is the diamond, and you have 2 #s, 5 and 6. 5 and 6 go one the sides if it says the go on the side. The bottom of the X is 5 and 6 added. the top of X is the 5 and 6 multiplied. in the end, the X will have 30 on the top, 11 on the bottome, and 5 and 6 on either side.
