This factorizes simply if it were x2-11x+10. This is because (-11) squared, minus 4x1x(+10) is 81 is a perfect square. Since it doesn't factorize simply, you have to find the 2 roots given by the usual formula [11+- 4Sqrt(121+40)]/2. Call these two roots A and B. Then the factorization is (x-A)(x-B).
