If you mean: y = 3x-3 and (-2, 1) then it is y = 3x+7
If you mean: 3x-y=5 then y=3x-5 and the perpendicular equation is y=-1/3x-7
If you mean: y = 3x+1 then the value of y will equal 10

3x+y=1 is the equation of a line with slope -3 and y intercpet 1.
y=1/3x x=-18 y=1/3(-18) y=-6
If y = 3x +- 1, the derivative with respect to x is y' = 3.

The equation you have written is not formatting in the way I think you intended it to be. 3x - y - 6x(y^2) is what I assume you mean? 3x - y = 6xyy 3x - 1 = 6xy 3 - (1/x) = 6y (1/2) - (1/6x) = y y = (1/2) - (1/6x)
