You can not divide by zero - it is not defined. Presumably you get infinity, but there are different types of infinity.

What does any number times zero equal?

Multiplying any number by zero yields the result zero !

What is the sum of 13 x 0?

Any number multiplied by zero will always give the result of zero.

Why is multiplying or dividing the numerator and denominator by the same nonzero number the same as multiplying or dividing the fraction by 1?

because of mathematical equivalence: it doesn't change the result

Irrational number when multiplied by 0.4?

If you multiply an irrational number by ANY non-zero rational number, the result will be irrational.

What is the physical significance of null vectors?

Zero vector or null vector is a vector which has zero magnitude and an arbitrary direction. It is represented by . If a vector is multiplied by zero, the result is a zero vector. It is important to note that we cannot take the above result to be a number, the result has to be a vector and here lies the importance of the zero or null vector. The physical meaning of can be understood from the following examples. The position vector of the origin of the coordinate axes is a zero vector. The displacement of a stationary particle from time t to time tl is zero. The displacement of a ball thrown up and received back by the thrower is a zero vector. The velocity vector of a stationary body is a zero vector. The acceleration vector of a body in uniform motion is a zero vector. When a zero vector is added to another vector , the result is the vector only. Similarly, when a zero vector is subtracted from a vector , the result is the vector . When a zero vector is multiplied by a non-zero scalar, the result is a zero vector.

Does dividing by zero result in an imaginary number?

No. Dividing by zero is undefined. It does not result in anything.

Does any real number divided by zero result infinity?

You can't divide by zero. But if you take any real number and try dividing it by smaller and smaller numbers that are closer and closer to zero, your result will get closer and closer to infinity.

Why a number is not divisible by zero?

To divide a number by zero means the number will be unchanged, same as dividing by 1. Try dividing by zero on a calculator and you will get an undefined error message.

How something divided by zero equal to infinity?

Because zero is nothing. The figure zero isn't actually a number - it's a place-filler. Dividing anything by nothing will always result in the answer infinity.

What best describes a number which results from dividing a rational number by zero?

You can't divide by zero.

Which is a number when you divide it by any number there is answer in whole number?

The only such number is 0, and the answer in each case is 0.For a number other than zero, dividing it by any number will not always result in a whole number.

Is a number divided by zero irrational?

That is not what mathematicians mean by an irrational number, which is a number with an infinitely long decimal expansion. You will note that since division is the inverse of multiplication, dividing by small numbers has the same effect as multiplying by large numbers, and so dividing by zero, which is an infinitely small number, is equivalent to multiplying by infinity. The result in most cases is deemed to have no mathematical meaning.

What happens when dividing a number by 0?

Nothing happens if a number is divided by a zero.

Dividing by zero?

Any number divided by zero is infinity symbolized by an 8 on it's side

What do you do when taking a negative and dividing it by zero?

A negative or positive number remains unchanged when divided by zero.

What is always the result of dividing an integer when the divisor is nonzero?

A rational number is always the result of dividing an integer when the divisor is nonzero.

Why is multiplying or dividing the numerator and the denominator by the same number the same as multiplying or dividing the fraction by 1?

Because multiplying or dividing them by the same NON-ZERO number does not alter their ratio.
