This is most likely one of those famous (and flawed) proofs that 1 = 2. Examine it closely and in one of the steps you will be dividing both sides of the equation by (x-y) or (y-x). This is a division by zero, and will yield an undefined result, after which you can infer that the moon is made of green cheese if you really want to. This is an invalid proof.
