Just X to the second power minus nine. You can't subtract nine from x to the second power unless you know what x is.
sorry i am not sure but i dont think it has an answer If this equation is: x^2 - 36 = 5x, then: x^2 - 36 = 5x subtract 5x to both sides; x^2 - 5x - 36 = 0 Factor; (x + 4)(x - 9) = 0 x + 4 = 0 or x - 9 = 0 x = -4 or x = 9

x=3 y=9 7x + 4y =? (7 * 3) + (4 * 9) = 57 Remember always multiply/divide before you add/subtract
-3
x=1
-1 = x + 9 Subtract 9 from both sides of the equation: -1 - 9 = x + 9 - 9 so -10 = x
12 x 9 - 13 = 95
X is ten and I is one. When the I is in front of the X it means subtract one. 10-1 is 9. IX is 9.
Suppose it is x. Then x + 1.6 = 9 Subtract 1.6 from both sides: x = 9 - 1.6 = 7.4
7x + 9 = x + 3 First Subtract x from both sides 7x - x + 9 = 3 So 7x - x = 6x 6x + 9 = 3 Next Subtract 9 from both sides 6x = 3 - 9 3 - 9 = -6 Then divde by 6 on both sides x = -1 -6 divided by 6 = -1
-12 = x+9 x+9 -9 = -12 -9 x = -21
you have x+9>13 so subtract 9 from both sides to get your answer
5x + 13
Subtract 2 from each side: x/9 = -7 - 2 ie -9 Multiply both sides by 9: x = -81
X+26=17. Subtract 26 both sides X=-9
