no.

Matt says:

For starters this open Q is badly written and the second part makes no sense in its current state!!

Do you mean: a) "What is the large number and is it divisible?"

OR b) "Which number is the large number divisible by?"

OR c) "Is the large number divisible by 21?"

Next whomever answered this first should not be trusted to answer Q's as not only did they NOT really answer the Q but they are WRONG!

The Q states "the number is even", so it IS divisible by 2 at least.

If the Q was in fact c) then (being an open question), here are some of the infinate answers:

399, 3+9+9=21, 399/21=19, but it's not even.

588, 5+8+8=21, 588/21=28

777, 7+7+7=21, 777/21=37 not even.

966, 9+6+6=21, 966/21=46

1596, 1+5+9+6=21, 1596/21=76

1659, 1+6+5+9=21, 1659/21=79 not even.

1785, 1+7+8+5=21, 1785/21=85 odd

1848, 1+8+4+8=21, 1848/21=88

1974, 1+9+7+4=21, 1974/21=94

2289, 2+2+8+9=21, 2289/21=109 odd

.... and so on. ps I hate open questions!

Is 189 divisible by 2 3 4 5 6 9 and 10?

No. 189 is only evenly divisible by 3 and 9 (from the set provided). Using the following rules of divisibility on the number 189: Divisible by 2? No - the number is not even Divisible by 3? Yes - the sum of the digits (1 + 8 + 9 = 18) is divisible by 3 Divisible by 4? No - the last two digits are not evenly divisible by 4 Divisible by 5? No - the last digit is not a 0 or a 5 Divisible by 6? No - the number is not even Divisible by 9? Yes - the sum of the digits is divisible by 9 Divisible by 10? No - the number is not divisible by 2 or 5

What is 289 divisible by?

No, 288 is, but 289 is not. For a number "x" to be divisible by 4, "x" must be even, and "x/2" must be even as well. 289 is not even. ■ To check whether or not the number is divisible by 4 it is enough to check (as above) that the last two digits of the number are divisible by 4. In this case, it would be to check that 89 is divisible by 4.

What numbers are divisible by 6?

All multiples of 6 Numbers are evenly divisible by 6 if they are evenly divisible by both 2 AND 3. Even numbers are always evenly divisible by 2. Numbers are evenly divisible by 3 if the sum of all the individual digits is evenly divisible by 3. For example, the sum of the digits for the number 3627 is 18, which is evenly divisible by 3 but 3627 is an odd number so the number 3627 is not evenly divisible by 6

What is the inverse of the statement if a number is divisible by 2 then it is even?

If a number is not even, then it is not divisible by 2.

An odd number plus an odd number is what kind of number?

An odd number plus an odd number will be an even number. Odd number A is (even number + 1) Odd number B is (even number + 1) A + B = (even number + 1) + (even number + 1) = even number + even number + 2 Since all even numbers are divisible by 2 and 2 is divisible by 2, each part of the result is divisible by 2, so the sum as a whole is divisible by 2, which means it is an even number.

If the number is even and the sum of its digits is divisible by nine then the number is divisible by 18.

What digits divisible by 4?

4 and all of its multiples are divisible by 4. They end in even digits. No number that ends in an odd digit is divisible by 4.

What is the rule for multiples of 6?

If a number is divisible by 2 (an even number) and 3 (the sum of the digits is divisible by 3) then the number is divisible by 6.

What is the divisibility rule for 18?

Any even number divisible by 9, if the sum of the digits is divisible by 9. If it's an even number divisible by 9, it's divisible by 18.

What are the rules in math for 234569 and 10?

If the number is even, it's divisible by 2. If the sum of the digits is a multiple of 3, the whole number is divisible by 3. If the last two digits are a multiple of 4, the whole number is divisible by 4. If the last digit is a 0 or a 5, the whole number is divisible by 5. If the number is even and divisible by 3, it's divisible by 6. If the sum of the digits is a multiple of 9, the whole number is divisible by 9. If the number ends in 0, it's divisible by 10.

What are the rules of the divisibility?

1- Any number is divisible by 1. 2- Any even number is divisible by 2. 3- If its digits add up to a number divisible by 3, the whole number is divisible by 3. 4- If the last two digits are divisible by 4, the whole number is divisible by 4. 5- If it ends in 5 or 0, the whole number is divisible by 5. 6- If it's even and also divisible by 3, the whole number is divisible by 6. 7- There is no rule for 7. 8- If the last three digits are divisible by 8, the whole number is divisible by 8. 9- If its digits add up to a number divisible by 9, the whole number is divisible by 9. 10- If it ends in 0, the whole number is divisible by 10.

How are the divisibility rules for 3 6 and 9 alike?

A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is a multiple of 3. A number is divisible by 6 if the sum of its digits is a multiple of 3 and it's even. A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of its digits is a multiple of 9.

If the sum of the digit is divisible by 3 the number is divisible by?

That means the number itself is divisible by three. the sum of the digits in 144, for example, is 9. 144 divided by 3 is 48. The sum of the digits in 21 is 3. 21 divided by 3 is 7.If the number is an even number and the sum of the digits is divisible by 3, the number is also divisible by 6. 144 is even and the sum of the digits is divisible by 3, so 144 is also divisible by 6. 144/6 = 24. And finally, if the sum is divisible by 9, the number itself is also divisible by 9. 27 is an example of this.

How do you explain that even without listing all the factors of a number it is easy to tell that they are composite numbers?

To know if a number is composite without listing its factors, you can use these rules:All numbers that end with 2, 4, 6, 8, and 0 (even numbers) are divisible by 2.If the sum of the digits in a number is divisible by 3, the number is divisible by 3.If the last two digits are divisible by 4, the number is divisible by 4.All numbers that have 5 in the one's place are divisible by 5.If a number is divisible by 2 AND is divisible by 3, it is divisible by 6.If the last 3 digits of a number are divisible by 8, the number is divisible by 8.If the sum of the digits of number is divisible by 9, the number is divisible by 9.If a number ends wuth 0, the number is divisible by 10.

How do you know the number is divisible by 4?

The foolproof way is to divide 4 into it. If the answer is a whole number, it's divisible by 4. You can also tell by looking at it. If the last two digits are a multiple of 4, like 24 or 80, the whole number is divisible by 4.
