Definitely linear

In straight line form it is

5y = 2x + 10

y = (2/5)x + 10/5

y = (2/5)x + 2

### Is 2x equals 3y plus 10 linear or nonlinear?

2x = 3y + 10 is linear. !!!! In straight line form it is 3y = 2x - 10 y = (2/3)x - 10/3

It is.

### Is y equals 2x plus 3 a nonlinear function?

y = 2x + 3 is LINEAR. It is a straight line graph with a steepness/gradient of '2' ( The 'x' coefficient). The line passes through the y-axis at '3'

### Is this equation linear or nonlinear y2x?

If you mean y = 2x then it is a straight line equation

Linear.

### What is the linear equation of y equals 2x plus 1?

y = 2x + 1 IS a linear equation!

yes

Yes.

Yes.

### Is 2x equals y linear or non linear?

Linear because neither of the variables are raised to a power.

### 3s equals 2t is this a linear equation or nonlinear?

3s=2t can also be written as 3y=2x or 3x=2y. Either way, it is linear. To find out if it is linear, simply graph it. If you can draw a completely vertical line through any point of the graph without intersecting more than one point of the graph, then it is linear. This equation (3s=2t), it is linear.

### What is 2x plus 5 equals 2x plus 10?

It appears to be a simple linear equation in 'x'. But it has no solution. There is no numerical value for 'x' that can make it a true statement.
