3.

You cannot have a diagonal from a vertex to itself, nor to either of the two adjacent vertices (these would form sides of the polygon). So 3 out of the other vertices cannot be used. In a hexagon, that leaves 3 that can be used. Hence the answer.

How many diagonals does a hexagon have one vertex?

None. By definition a diagonal goes from one vertex to another vertex and so each diagonal MUST have two vertices.

How many triangles can you form in a hexagon if you draw all the diagonals from only one vertex?

Either 12,14,16,or18 I think 18. * * * * * The correct answers is 4. You can draw only 3 diagonals from one vertex.

How many diagonal can be drawn from a regular hexagon from one vertex?

5 diagonals * * * * * That is not correct since two of these would be lines joining the vertex to adjacent vertices (one on either side). These are sides of the polygon, not diagonals. The number of diagonals from any vertex of a polygon with n sides is n-3.

How many triangles are in a 15-gon?

fourteen. If you draw if diagonals from one vertex there are 14. fourteen. If you draw if diagonals from one vertex there are 14.

A hexagon can be divided into how many triangles by drawing all of the diagonals from one vertex?

A hexagon (six-sided polygon) can be divided into 4 triangles by drawing all of the diagonals from one vertex (only three lines can be drawn in this case, since each vertex already connects to two others on the edges of the form). If you instead drew lines from the center to each vertex, you would get 6 triangles.
