Not all prime numbers are odd. There is one Prime number that is even: 2. A prime number is a number with two and only two factors: 1 (also known as unity) and itself. A composite number is a number with more than two factors. All even numbers are divisible by 2. Thus, all even numbers have 2 as a factor, which means that all even numbers greater than 2 have more than two factors, so they cannot be prime numbers.

∙ 12y agoNo, not all numbers that are odd are prime, such as: 1 (natural number) and 15 (composite number) Same thing with all the even numbers for example: 2 is prime. Prime definition: numbers that have only 2 factors (1 and itself).

∙ 11y agoA prime number has only 2 factors which are 1 and itself. Composite numbers are everything else except 1 and 0. 1 and 0 are neither prime, nor composite. Not all odd numbers are prime.
Wiki User
∙ 9y agoNo because 2 is an even number which is also a prime number that has only two factors which are itself and one.
Wiki User
∙ 8y agoThe aren't. Two is even and is a prime number. There are many odd, composite numbers.

All prime numbers are not odd. 2 is a prime, 2 is not odd.
All prime numbers are odd, exept of the first prime number 2.
Yes. Apart from 2, all prime numbers are odd.
no, 25 is odd and is not prime 25 = 5 x 5 There is only one even prime number:2, all other prime numbers are odd, but all odd numbers are not prime number
While all prime numbers are odd (except 2), not all odd numbers are prime. 9 for example is an odd number, but you can get it by multiplying 3X3, so it is not prime. Odd numbers are numbers that are not divisible by 2. Prime numbers are numbers that cannot be generated by multiplying 2 whole numbers besides 1 and itself.
They are all odd, and they are all prime numbers
There is an infinite amount of prime numbers all of which are odd numbers
All of the prime numbers are odd except for two.
Except for 2 all other prime numbers are odd. Otherwise, they would be divisible by 2 (and thus not a prime number). This does NOT mean that all odd numbers are prime, but that all prime numbers (aside from 2) are odd.
All prime numbers are not odd. 2 is a prime, 2 is not odd.

All prime numbers are not odd numbers. 2 is an even prime number, and it is the only even prime number because all other even numbers have 2 as one of their factors.
2 is the only prime number that is not an odd number.
