Theoretically, no real numbers cannot be graphed on the number line. The number line contains all real values. Practically, it is not really possible to exactly place an irrational number, as it is a non-terminating, non-repeating decimal. But for all intents and purposes, you can place it at least to the tenth or hundredth place, which is about all you can discern with the naked eye, anyway!
put the improper fraction in your calculator. find the decimal representation. then you have to go in between numbers on the number line to write your answer. like ifyou have 8 over 5. This is 1.6 Go in between the numbers 1 and 2 and go around 60% between the 1 and 2.
