Line Graph
a bar graph is best used for comparing amounts, a line graph best represents a steadily increasing value. For example prices of a shirt (line graph), or viscosity of liquids (bar graph).
For comparing the acceleration of automobiles, a velocity vs. time graph is most efficient, where time is the x value, and velocity the y value. The greater the acceleration of the automobile, the steeper the slope of its respective plotted line.

Distance and time
We could spot the better one in a flash if we could see the graphs. The good one should be a straight horizontal line, since acceleration due to gravity is constant and doesn't depend on mass.
The steepness is usually referred to as the slope, usually being a fraction, like 5/2. The numerator represents the rise, and the denominator represents the run. Typically, this is remembered by rise over run. One must count, for this example, up 5 units and to the right 2 units to find the next point on the line.

deceleration can be measured from a velocity time graph by calculating the gradient of the velocity time graph if the V-t graph was linear. If the v-t graph was a curve then the differentiatial of the equation of the curve will give the deceleration variation with time.

The graph that best represents a change of phase from a gas to a solid would show a decrease in temperature over time as the gas loses energy and transitions into a solid state. The temperature remains constant during the phase change itself due to the energy being used to break intermolecular bonds rather than increase temperature.
