∙ 14y agoAcceleration is a measure of the rate of change of velocity.
Assume the question is, "A car accelerates from 25 kph to 55 kph in 30 sec what is its acceleration?
The formula for this calculation is v = u + ft : v = final velocity, u = initial velocity, f = acceleration, t = time. But all measurements have to be in related units. As speed is measured in kph then time needs to be converted to hours. 30 seconds = 1/2 minute = 1/120 hour
55 = 25 + f/120 : 30 = f/120 : f = 30 x 120 = 3600 kph2
As there are 3600 seconds in 1 hour then the acceleration can be stated as 1 kps2.

∙ 14y agoIf the acceleration was constant (15 + 25) /2 = 20 (time does not figure into the averaging at all!)
Acceleration = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change) = (25) / (10) = 2.5 meters per second2
Acceleration = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change)Acceleration = (25 - 0)/(3) = 81/3 miles per second2Don't try this at home. That acceleration is about 1,368 G's. You can not survive it!
50/25 = 2 miles per sec2
Acceleration = rate of change of speed = (change of speed) / (time interval) = (25 - 5) / 4 = 20/4 = 5 m/s2

If the acceleration was constant (15 + 25) /2 = 20 (time does not figure into the averaging at all!)
the acceleration is increasing speed Acceleration = velocity change / time velocity change = 0 to 25 mm/hr = 25 mm/hr time = 5 seconds therefore acceleration = 25/5 mm/hr per second = 5 mm per hour per second.
The car's average acceleration is the change in velocity divided by the time taken. Here, the change in velocity is from 14 m/s to 25 m/s which is 11 m/s. Given that the time taken is 10 seconds, the average acceleration of the car is 1.1 m/s^2.
Acceleration = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change) = (25) / (10) = 2.5 meters per second2
The acceleration due to gravity is approximately 9.81 m/s^2 on Earth. When an object falls from a height of 25 m, it will experience this gravitational acceleration as it accelerates towards the ground.
That's easy, if the car is initially traveling at 25 meters per second and gradually accelerates 3 meters per second for 6 seconds then the car is traveling at 43 meters per second.
Acceleration = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change)Acceleration = (25 - 0)/(3) = 81/3 miles per second2Don't try this at home. That acceleration is about 1,368 G's. You can not survive it!
50/25 = 2 miles per sec2
The average acceleration of the car can be calculated using the formula: average acceleration = change in velocity / time taken. In this case, the change in velocity is 25 m/s - 0 m/s = 25 m/s, and the time taken is 8.0 s. Therefore, the average acceleration is 25 m/s / 8.0 s = 3.125 m/s^2.
Acceleration = rate of change of speed = (change of speed) / (time interval) = (25 - 5) / 4 = 20/4 = 5 m/s2
25+(0.58*5.2) 25+3.016 28.016m/s^2
