log10 0 is actually undefined. Think about it like this:

If loba b = y then we know that ay = b

This means that log10 0 = y translates to 10y = 0

But as you know, 10y is always greater than zero.

Therefore 10y = 0 is undefined.

Therefore log10 0 = y is undefined.

Value of log 0?

the value of log0 is -infinity which is minus of infinity

Why log 0 is infinite?

the definition of log N = X is 10 to the X power =N for log 0 we have 10 to the x power = 0 The solution for x is that x is very large (infinite) and negative, that is, minus infinity As N gets smaller and smaller, log N approaches minus infinity log 1 = 0 log .1 = -1 log .001 = -3 log .000001 = -6 log 0 = -infinity

What is the value of log 0?

Value of log 0 is negative infinity (undefined). Because no power can give an answer of zero. it is in fact undefined but written as negative infinity for symbolizing. Otherwise undefined and infinity are two different things.

What are the asymptotes of a logarithmic function?

As x tends towards 0 (from >0), log(x) tend to - infinity. As x tends to + infinity so does log (x), though at a much slower rate.

One divided by 0 equals infinity no?

The answers is 0.

Why division by 0 is infinity and multiplicatoin by 0 is equals to 0 what is logic behined these rules?

Division by zero is not infinity, it is a forbidden operation in mathematics.

Does a negative infinity times any number equals zero?

0 is the only number times infinity equal to 0

What is infinity times 0?

I think it is zero because ANYTHING times 0 equals 0

What is the log of infinite to the base 10?

The log of infinity, to any base, is infinity.

Can you prove 10 equals 1?

no - 10 doesn't equal 1However, could consider the so-called 'Bold Hypothesis' (introducing a new mathematical object (infinity) which equals 1/0, but otherwise behaves like a real number):1/0=infinity, therefore 1=infinity*0you know: 10*0=1*0 (any number *0=0)multiply each side by infinity (1/0): 10*0*infinity=1*0*infinitywhich is the same as: 10*(0*infinity)=1*(0*infinity)we have already said (1st line) that 1=infinity*0, therefore: 10*1=1*1which simplifies to give: 10=1which is impossible?!

Who log zero is infinity?

Log zero is not defined, and if it were defined, it would be more likely to be minus infinity than infinity.

Why does calculators display an error when log 0 is typed?

Because the log of zero is "negative infinity", and the calculator display is too narrow to display that number.
