There are are three types of decimals: terminating, repeating and non-terminating/non-repeating. The first two are rational, the third is not.

By definition any number that can be expressed as a fraction (with natural numbers) is rational. If decimals are in a fraction, see if you can amplify such fraction for 10, 100, 1000, etc.
