The Arithmetic Mean is the standard average, achieved by adding the numbers in a set and dividing by the number of numbers in the set.

(31 + 25 + 38 + 12 + 15) / 5 = 121/5 = 24.2

Any of the numbers you are finding the mean of can be decimal numbers as well.

in other words just add the remainder as a decimal
