a bar graph is best used for comparing amounts, a line graph best represents a steadily increasing value. For example prices of a shirt (line graph), or viscosity of liquids (bar graph).

A logarithmic graph would best represent the relationship between stream velocity and the size of particles it can carry downstream. As velocity increases, the stream can carry larger particles due to increased erosion and transport capacity. However, there will be a limit to the size of particles carried downstream as velocity continues to increase.

The graph that best represents a change of phase from a gas to a solid would show a decrease in temperature over time as the gas loses energy and transitions into a solid state. The temperature remains constant during the phase change itself due to the energy being used to break intermolecular bonds rather than increase temperature.
