because each orgainism has different temperatures at which they grow when you connect the dots it is harder to see the different organism instead it looks as if you are comparing one type to its temperature not many different ones.

When do you connect the data points on a graph?

It depends on what you are trying to do.

In a coordinate graph of two related variables when does it make sense to connect the points?

When the data on the graph is continuous,it does make sense to connect the points on the graph of 2 related variables.

Does a best fit line connect all of the data points in a line graph?

yes

What does it mean to plot data points?

If you had a formula you would plug numbers in for the variables and solve for the other variables create a list of coordinates (data points). Next you would graph those points and connect the dots.

Extrapolation is most advisable if it is difficult to predict what the dat relationship actually is beyond the range of the existing observations-true or false?

False. Extrapolation is most advisable for a data point between two known points.

Why is it don't you connect the dots when making a graph?

Connecting the dots in a graph can create the impression of continuous data points, which may not be accurate if the data is discrete or if there are gaps in the data. It's important to accurately represent the data without adding any assumptions that could mislead the interpretation. Connecting the dots can make it harder to see the individual data points and trends.

Why cant you just connect all the data points?

You could, but you need to decide what the point of doing so would be!

When do you not connect the dots on a graph?

You do not connect the dots on a graph when the data points are discrete and not continuous. In other words, when the values represent distinct and unrelated data points rather than a continuous sequence. Connecting the dots in such cases would imply a relationship or trend between the points that does not exist. It is important to consider the nature of the data being represented to determine whether connecting the dots is appropriate.

Why should you draw a smooth line that reflects the general pattern rather than simply connect the data points?

If the question is about a scatter plot, the the data points will be not be located on a straight line but will be displaced by a random element. Connecting the points will give a zigzag line which will fit all the data point exactly but will be of little use in terms of explanatory or predictive value. A smooth line will.

A bar graph differs from a line graph because?

the points on a bar graph are not connected to each other.

How do you put your Wii points on your Wii from your PC?

You should connect your wii and your computer by a data cable, and then transmit them. If you need the data cable, this website is very good: http://www.dinodirect.com

How is an isobar like a contour line?

An isobar is a line on a weather map connecting points of equal atmospheric pressure, similar to how a contour line on a topographic map connects points of equal elevation. Both help to visualize patterns and gradients in data.
