They are said to be Normally distributed.

The normal distribution would be a standard normal distribution if it had a mean of 0 and standard deviation of 1.
Yes. You could have a biased sample. Its distribution would not necessarily match the distribution of the parent population.

A distribution table would be primarily used in the field of statistics and probability. Collecting and interpreting data is much easier when compiled in this format.
When putting the scores in, you use the normal distribution graph, which is the best start.

The distribution is skewed to the right.
The normal distribution would be a standard normal distribution if it had a mean of 0 and standard deviation of 1.
There are many populations that would not likely have a normal distribution. Endangered species or unsocial animals would be such populations.
IQ scores are converted from the raw score of the test to a standardized scale, wherein everybody can be compared and applied to a normal distribution. We know that many things are normally distributed when enough of a sample has been examined. This is also the case for the IQ. Thus, we can compare your score to everyone else (even if they didn't take the IQ test) based on the likelihood that the population distribution of scores is normal. Somewhere along the line somebody decided that 100 would be average and 15 would be the standard deviation. Now everybody is compared along the same scale using standardized scores.
Yes. You could have a biased sample. Its distribution would not necessarily match the distribution of the parent population.
Generally, when we refer to the normal distribution, it is the standard, univariant normal distribution. We don't have a normal type 1, type 2, etc. However, there are closely related distributions, the truncated normal and the multivariant normal. A truncated multivariant normal would also be possible. See related links.
Assuming that you are refering to the standard normal distribution and the z-scores, the answer is 99.73%. If the assumption is incorrect, please resubmit the questionwith more information.
The Gaussian (Normal) distribution is determined by two parameters: its mean and its variance. Each combination of these two parameters results in a different probability density function (pdf). Finding the probability based on raw scores would require values of the pdf relating to that particular combination of mean and variance. The pdf for the Gaussian distribution is not simple to calculate and it would be impossible to tabulate infinitely many of them. Instead, only the pdf for the Z-scores - the Standard Normal pdf - is tabulated. Any raw score is converted to a Z-score and the probability evaluated from the tables.
While the initial standard should be based on a distribution of some kind, and possibly not even the normal, each personal grade should not be based on it.
