(3x+1)(2x+4) = 6x2+4+2x+12x = 6x2+14x+4
3x3 + 6x2 - 24x = 3x(x2 + 2x - 8) = 3x(x2 + 4x - 2x - 8) = 3x[ x(x + 4) - 2(x + 4) ] = 3x(x - 2)(x + 4)
5x + 4 = 3x - 2Subtract 4 from both sides:5x = 3x - 6Subtract 2x from both sides:2x = 6Divide both sides by 2:x = -3
Your notation is hard to read. Did you mean 3x+2x-1+2x-4x+2=5? You have a lot of weird spaces that make your x's look like multiplication or something. The first step is to get variables on one side of the equation and numbers on the other. Add 1 and subtract 2 from 5, giving 3x+2x+2x-4x=4 Now, simply do the math on the variables. 3x+2x+2x-4x giving you 7x-4x which equals 3x, so that means 3x=4(from our earlier work) divide both sides by 3, 3x/3=4/3 gives us x=4/3 or x=1 1/3 or x=1.3333333 however you like.
3x + 2x - 8 = 125x - 8 = 125x = 20x = 4
3x - 2x + 4 = 0 3x - 2x = -4 x = -4
If 3X - 4 ------ = 0 1-2X-4 So 3X - 4 ----- = 0 [ x (2X-3) ] 2X-3 3X-4 = 2X-3 [ -2X ] X - 4 = -3 [ +4 ] X= 1
3x+56 = 2x+4 3x-2x = 4-56 x = -52
3x+4 = 2x-3 3x-2x = -3-4 x = -7
2x
2x
3x - 2 = 2x + 4 3x - 2x = 4 + 2 x = 6
-2x^4+16 +2x^4+9-3x^5=-3x^5+25. There is no "answer" because there is no equation.
-2x+20 = 3x 20 = 3x+2x 20 = 5x 4 = x So x = 4
(3x+1)(2x+4) = 6x2+4+2x+12x = 6x2+14x+4
3x + 4 = 8 + 2xSubtract 4 from each side:3x = 4 + 2xSubtract 2x from each side:x = 4
1 + 3x - x = x - 4 + 2x 1 + 4 = x + 2x - 3x + x 5 = x
