if you meant it as you wrote it, then the equation is just a line.

if you meant: 2x^2-12x+16, then:

y=2(x^2-6x)+16

y=2(x^2-6x+9)+16-18. You have to subtract 18, not 9, because it is being multiplied by 2.

y=2(x-3)^2 - 2
