Experiment
The factor that is being tested in an experiment is called a variable. The factor that is measured or observed is called the dependent variable.
confounded
Experimental data. Information about what conditions are present when measured or observed.
The observed value is calculated by directly measuring or recording the outcome of an experiment or observation. It represents the actual data collected, which can be compared to expected or theoretical values. To determine it, simply take the measurement from your experiment or study under the specified conditions. If you're working with a statistical dataset, the observed value is often the raw data point itself.
