you use them at school and while paying for something really any where

Are you serious ?

-- I put 11.385 gallons of gas in my car today and the big sign out front says "4.059 per gallon".

How much should that cost me if the pump is accurate ? My credit card got charged $47.21 .

Was I ripped off ? (I mean besides the price of gas in general.)

-- Tonight, I need to run out to the deli and pick up three quarters of a pound of

extra lean corned beef. The counterman is going to throw it on the scale, the scale

will spit out the label with the price, I'll take it up front to the checkout and I'll pay

the price on the label.

Extra lean corned beef is $13.50 a pound. (I know, but it's kosher so I have to be prepared.)

How much should I expect to pay ?

Do you multiply the decimals ? Or do you just pay whatever they tell you to because

multiplying decimals is a bummer and nobody ever makes mistakes and you've got

the cash to burn anyway ?
