120 amps The above answer is wrong. A 60 amp breaker is designed to trip at 60 amps be it a single pole, double pole or a triple pole that is used on three phase equipment. The number on the handle of a breaker is the trip capacity.

It is recommended to have a maximum of 8 to 10 outlets and lights combined on a 60 amp breaker depending on the power draw of the devices connected. It is important not to overload the circuit to prevent potential hazards such as electrical fires. It is advisable to consult with a qualified electrician to ensure the load on the circuit is within a safe limit.

It would be quite unusual to have a single 60 amp circuit with outlets and lights. You would have to use very heavy wire to each light and outlet. Typical lighting circuits would be protected by 15 amp breaker and a circuit with general purpose receptacles would have a 20 amp breaker. A typical lighting circuit might have 10 to 12 fixtures and receptacle circuit might have 8 outlets. If you don't know how to size a circuit get an electrician.

There is no current in a 60A circuit breaker.

The above circuit breaker is a 2 pole circuit breaker that will trip when more than 60 AMPS is being drawn through either of the 2 poles.

For a 15 amp breaker - suppose I have 8 or 12 outlets - what if on one outlet I use iron box which draws 1500 watts 12.5 amps and on another outlet a floor heater?

If there is any additional load on the outlets greater than 2.5 amps the breaker will trip. Loads of 1500 watts should be on a dedicated breaker. If the total load exceeds 15 amps the breaker will operate. However many of the outlets might supply only lights, TVs or nothing at all, so in those conditions it's OK.

Can wall outlets be on a 15amp breaker in the bedroom or do they have to be 20amp?

Wall outlets in the bedroom can be on a 15amp breaker as long as they are not part of a dedicated circuit that may have higher power demands. Typically, 15amp breakers are standard for general outlets in residential bedrooms.

If you have 3-4 can lights 1 ceiling fan and 3 outlets what size breaker?

Assuming each can light uses 1 amp, the ceiling fan uses 3 amps, and each outlet uses 2 amps, the total would be 13 amps. A 15-amp breaker would be sufficient for this setup with a little room for extra load.

How many canned lights can go on one breaker?

The number of can lights that can go on one breaker will depend on the wattage of each light and the maximum load capacity of the breaker. It's important to calculate the total wattage of all the lights and ensure it does not exceed the amp rating of the breaker to avoid overloading it. Consult with an electrician to determine the appropriate number of can lights that can safely go on one breaker.

How many lights can run off a 15 amp breaker?

Generally, a 15 amp breaker can safely handle around 1440 watts of power. The number of lights that can run off this breaker depends on the wattage of each light. As a guideline, if each light consumes around 60-75 watts, you can safely run about 16-24 lights on a 15 amp breaker.
