ironically i was looking for a good computer program to write, but before i wrote it i figured out the answer in my head... okay look,, the least possible difference is always going to be 14. period.. but here's why :) the possible number combinations are as follows: 24 42 62 82
26 46 64 84
28 48 68 86 you don't need to do write them down or figure them out in order to figure out the least possible combo... all you have to do is re-read what the question is asking....
"http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Find_the_least_possible_difference_of_two_2-digit_numbers_that_use_the_digits_2_4_6_and_8_only_once_in_each_number" you don't need to do anything except find the two numbers whos values are closest together and when subtracted produce the least ammount; which in your case, would be the median numbers. the combos above should help you see this, but the combination of 62 and 48 use all the digits and produce the lowest number. 62-48=14 any other combos of numbers produce higher results make sure that you do not use the same number twice or else you will not come up with the right answer. fun question!!
10 + 23 = 33 Lowest possible real number 97 + 86 = 183 Highest possible real number 02 + 13 = 15 Lowest possible number 97 + 86 = 183 Highest possible number
To find the even two-digit numbers where the sum of the digits is 5, we need to consider the possible combinations of digits. The digits that sum up to 5 are (1,4) and (2,3). For the numbers to be even, the units digit must be 4, so the possible numbers are 14 and 34. Therefore, there are 2 even two-digit numbers where the sum of the digits is 5.
The answer is 39. 3+9=12, 3x9=27. 12+27=39.
Assuming you mean permutations of three digits, then the set of numbers that can be made with these digits is: 345 354 435 453 534 543 There are six possible permutations of three numbers.
6*5*4*3*2*1=720 possible numbers
to do it the long way do it by long division to do it the short way put it in the calculator 2 digits numbers are just the numbers between10-99 and one digits numbers are just the numbers between 0-9.

We're talking about 3-digit numbers that you can make out of 3, 5, 7, and 9.-- The biggest one possible is 975.-- The smallest one possible is 357.-- Their difference is 618 .

9x8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1 or 9! which equals 362880 possible combinations if no digits are repeated
This cannot be answered. This will have to be written to where it can be understood.

There are 2 possible digits for the first digit (3 or 4), leaving 3 possible digits for the second digit (5 and 6 and whichever was not chosen for the first), leaving 2 possible digits for the third. Thus there are 2 × 3 × 2 = 12 possible 3 digit numbers.
