xy-2x+4y-8 x(y-2)+4(y-2) (x+4)(y-2)
(x + 4)(y - 2)
(x + 4)(y - 2)
(x + 4)(y - 2)
We havey = 2x + 1 = 2(4y-2) + 1 = 8y - 3 iff 7y = 3 iff y = 3/7 iff x = 4y - 2 = 12/7 - 2 = -2/7(using "iff" for the double-arrow "is equivalent to" symbol which my PC won't copy).Thus xy = (-2/7)(3/7) = -6/7.
xy plus 2x plus 4y plus 8 or (xy+2x) + (4y+8) or x(y+2) + 4(y+2) or (x+4)(y+2)
xy-2x+4y-8 x(y-2)+4(y-2) (x+4)(y-2)
(x + 4)(y - 2)
(x + 4)(y - 2)
(x + 4)(y - 2)

if you meant 2x²+y²-xy=21x=(±sqrt(-7 y^2+168)+y)/4y=(±sqrt(-7 x^2+84)+x)/2
We havey = 2x + 1 = 2(4y-2) + 1 = 8y - 3 iff 7y = 3 iff y = 3/7 iff x = 4y - 2 = 12/7 - 2 = -2/7(using "iff" for the double-arrow "is equivalent to" symbol which my PC won't copy).Thus xy = (-2/7)(3/7) = -6/7.
(x - 1)(2x + y)
In order to combine terms, the variable(s) must be the same and the exponent(s) must be the same on the variables. Since you have an x2 term, x term, xy term and y term, none of the terms can be combined. So, the answer is: x2 + 4x + xy + 4y. The only thing you could do in this problem is to factor out a 4 from the 4x & 4y so another way to write this is: x2 + xy + 4(x + y).
Divide by 'x'; x2+xy/x = x(x+y)
